Happy Fall to you! Little Robbie is still tearing up the growth charts at over 17 pounds and 27" long. He is wearing clothing in the 9 months size, but we can hardly keep him in any size for very long.
A couple of weeks ago we transitioned Robbie from Momma's bed to his crib. It was harder on Momma than baby, though. The last night he slept with her she cried, knowing he would be in his bed the next night. He has done amazingly well with this transition. Momma is still getting used to it and is missing his little snuggles in the middle of the night. Daddy is just happy we are all getting sleep!
We entered Robbie into a costume contest this weekend at Crown Center's Pumpkin Patch. We've posted pictures of him at the contest in his little spider costume. We were SHOCKED when he didn't win. His cuteness was clearly overlooked by the judges. We wanted to get his pictures amongst the pumpkins, but the weather was in the 40's and we had him so bundled up you would have only seen his little face. We will get some pumpkin pictures before the month is over, though.
Robbie has been stretching his vocal chords as he practices different consonant sounds. He loves to have "conversations" with Mommy and Daddy. You can hear him in the video posted today. He also loves to sit in his new jumpy seat that hangs from the door frame, or any other means of being upright. He prefers to stand rather than lay or sit if he has the choice. He can sit unassisted now, but still can't get himself into the sitting position from laying down.
We haven't taken the "official" 5 month picture yet. We plan to get some pictures of him with pumpkins and then we'll have professional ones taken again when he turns 6 months. We're posting what we took at the costume contest and others since his turned 5 months on the 8th and will try to post more later. We also added a couple of pictures at the end of the 4 month album.
We hope you enjoy these. As you can see, his little personality continues to bloom. He is such a happy baby all the time. What you see in the video is pretty much what he is like for most of the day: happy go-lucky.Comments:Add a comment:
